Very rude noises!

I'm a mum, and as such I'm really proud of my children. So when my eight year old daughter tapped me on the arm to get my attention and announced that...... she could make a farting sound with her hand, I of course..... blamed it on her fathers genes! I have never, ever made a rude noise with my hands and if I inadvertantly make one from any other part of my body, well, I wouldn't be boasting about it.
But it got me thinking........I am anal about some things, these wagon wheel blocks for instance. I just feel like I've won something every time that I piece one, turn it over and this little star in the centre appears!
May all your piecing be perfect!

  1. There used to be an ad on TV that would go "Eat the wagon wheels! Eat the wagon wheels!" If I ate your blocks I'd have to do a loud burp of appreciation!

  3. I raised three sons, so I understand perfectly. When my middle son married and had a daughter, he commented that he didn't think girls could make those noises - he knew his mother never did! I was teaching kindergarten and one day a child accidentally "let one slip" (as the guys around here say). The child was embarrassed and hid his little face. Another child said, "Oh, that's okay. My dad does that ALL the time!" I had a hard time looking that dad in the face after that without thinking of that comment.
    Love the wagon wheel blocks!!!

  7. I'm so glad you got back in touch - I'd binned my previous bloglist and started again and not added you and had forgotten how randomly hilarious your blog is - but it's back on my bloglist now so you'll be keeping me entertained. I love those hexagony things you're making at the moment.
